In February 2021, we began planting one tree for every order place on our website in partnership with ecologi.
Based on scientific research, We estimate that ten thousand trees sequester* over 2,952 tonnes of carbon over a 25 year life time.
To put that into perspective, an economy-class return flight from London to New York emits an estimated 0.67 tonnes of CO2 per passenger, according to the calculator from the UN's civil aviation body, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Reference BBC
That's 4,407 passengers, or 12 planes journeys full of passengers (based on a boeing 747 of 366 passengers)
*Carbon sequestration describes long-term storage of carbon dioxide or other forms of carbon to either mitigate or defer global warming and avoid dangerous climate change.
Who plants the trees?
'World-leading Eden Reforestation – a non-profit whose mission is to provide fair wage employment to impoverished villagers as agents of global forest restoration. They hire the poorest of the poor to grow, plant, and guard to maturity native species forest on a massive scale. Their “employ to plant methodology” results in a multiplication of positive socio-economic and environment measures. At the time of writing (Oct 2020), their innovative community-led reforestation programme is leading to 5 million trees planted each day.'

Baby Trees With Bright Futures
Your planted trees are not mature enough to sequester carbon in large quantities until they are around 10 years old. However, your trees are still out there, munching on carbon and growing into mature carbon kicking superstars. A seedling planted now will keep on growing stronger for generations to come. Imagine how we could change our world in our lifetime?
Climate Positive Workforce
As part of our sustainable business values, we offset all of our business and personal travel by supporting great projects such as the Geothermal power production in West Java, Indonesia. Using renewable energy generated from geothermal steam to displace electricity generated primarily from coal and diesel in the existing grid. Discover more >
We submit evidence of our donations twice a month (around the 15th and 28th) and upload them for you to see the great work we've done.
